Form & Function; A modern approach with a classic design...

There’s no denying that Radical is a mountain bike brand at its core, so it’s pretty obvious the Surveyor was going to be reverse designed from a mountain bike.

It’s this reason the Surveyor is what we would call a 'toned down mountain bike' (rather than a beefed up road bike).

Because of this, we adopt a more progressive approach; the use of a longer front paired to a shorter stem, with a slacker head angle and lower ride height. It also utilises an internally routed dropper and is designed with both drop and flat bars in mind.

What does all this mean? A gravel bike that's confident and composed down any descent; weather it be singletrack, valley descents, fire road or tarmac. BUT, it also remains loyal to its roots, being comfortable in the seated position for those long days in the saddle. But if thats not for you, no biggy; have it your own way, as all surveyors are made to order and are fully customisable!

The Surveyor explores not just the limits of a rider, but the limits of what a gravel bike can be; Drop bars, Flat bars, Gravel, Adventure, Singletrack slayin'.... OR JUST A BICYCLE.

Following the success of the Chilli Dog enduro hardtail, we injected the tried and tested formula, giving the surveyor an aggressive yet balanced chassis, that simply gets better the faster it goes (Because speed is smiles right?).

Each Surveyor is hand welded in the UK by a guy with a beard & dodgy haircut.... using a 'tri-blend' of UK sourced Reynolds 853, 631 and 525 is to distribute strength, compliance and weight, finished with Dedacciai Zero Uno chainstays.

Because of its extremely high strength & air hardening capabilities, the tubing profile can be drawn with super thin walls, without compromising its integrity. This gives the Surveyor a compliant ride whilst remaining strong, perfect for those long days in the saddle or hitting tougher terrain.

The frames are coated by hand, making each frame that extra special. The frames are then given their final party piece; the Radical Headbadge... Cast in pewter, by hand... by a bloke... in a shed... RAD.

Key Features:

- Progressive geometry. A longer cockpit compensated by steeper seat tubes and shorter stems ensure a stable, but comfortable ride.

- Low chassis with a slack front end give exceptional confidence through rough terrain, increasing rider stability and brake control.

- Clearance for 700x47c tyres (and up to 51mm tyres with 650b)

- Full Steel frame: Reynolds 853 DZB TT & DT, matted to 631 & 525 tubes to give the ultimate blend of strength, compliance and weight.

- Dedacciai Zero Uno chainstays allow for precision and comfort.

- 'Stop ended' bosses mean water cannot enter the frame when nuts are not installed.

- Frame treated internally utilising Anti Corrosion formula, with routing grommets & BB drainage to give a better rust/corrosion protection.

- Stock sizes designed to run either a rigid carbon fork (apx 395mm ATC) or a short travel gravel fork (apx 425mm ATC)

When you order, we will be in touch to discuss your requirements/deign. Once all has been discussed, we will commence design and issue a 2D drawing of your bike for your approval.

We also offer a more flexible payment structure, please get in touch if you would prefer this method:

- Intial deposit: £500 Required at point order (non refundable)

- Second payment: £600 Required prior to manufacture & coating commencing

- Final balance required prior to dispatch
