Grim Ripper STEEL — The Hardtail That Knows When to Push
Meet the Grim Ripper STEEL: the slightly less feral, more versatile sibling of the Chilli Dog. Think all-mountain chaos instead of full-blown enduro delinquency. It’s still rowdy, still steel, but it’s dialed just enough that you can actually pedal it to the top without questioning your life choices.
Steel construction means it’s solid, smooth, and has that trail feel carbon can only dream of. And because commitment isn’t your strong suit, the frame plays nice with every wheel setup worth running:
- 29er / Mullet (short–mid travel): Quick, sharp, and spicy enough to keep you honest.
- 27.5 (long travel): More travel, less sense—perfect for big hits and worse decisions.
It’s not here to coddle you, but it also won’t leave you broken at the bottom of the hill. Forgiving where it matters, tough where it counts, and versatile enough to be the one hardtail you don’t regret buying.
Travel options, because you’ll change your mind anyway:
- Steamer: Full 27.5, 150–160mm
- Big Roller: 29er, 130–140mm
- Mullet: 29/27.5 mix, 120–130mm
''The more compliant back end of the Grim Ripper seemingly smoothing out the rough in a manner I was unfamiliar with on a hardtail...''

Sizing
Struggling with what reach to choose?
The frames have short seat tubes with a very low standover, so sizing is very flexible and more centred around the length. We recommend the use of longer dropper posts and shorter stems (35-50mm) dependant on sizing.
(See geo charts for cm measurements)
Regular: 5ft5 to 5ft11
Uber Long: 5ft11 to 6ft4
Seat post insertion depths
Short, straight seat tubes allow for most 200mm droppers to be fully inserted. See max seat post insertions;
Regular: 300mm
Uber Long: 320mm
