It’s like a punch to the face after rinsing your mouth with battery acid… just without the sting. 

E-bikes are great, and there’s no denying that in the pursuit of MORE we have seen some amazing advancement in technology, but have we actually gained less in certain areas? Is what we gained in sheer power and size, come at the cost of what a bike actually is?

Incase you can’t see where this is going, the answer is YES.

That is where the SUPACAT comes in; a super light weight frame installed with a mighty yet lightweight motor and battery, the SUPACAT brings the pure joy of the analogue bikes back to the trail, whilst getting you back up without even breaking a sweat.

And with builds starting as low as 18kg, it may also be the perfect fit for your roof carrier system without even having to remove the battery (Note: carrier limits vary, please check your carrier weight limit).

THE TINY TERROR

The SUPACAT is equipped with Bafangs latest motor; the M820…

Bafang, seeing significant growth in the West/Europe amongst mainstream brands, has actually been one of the longest standing pioneers in e-mobility and e-drive systems since 2003. This is their latest creation; a tiny 250W power house motor equipped to a 410Wh battery, kicking out a whopping 75nm of torque, making it one of the strongest yet lightweight mid drive motors on the market.

The M820 is also equipped with one of the most advance, high quality colour screens available, making the riders experience all the more enjoyable, with a crystal clear, easy to use interface.

We have been fortunate enough to be one of the first brands to thoroughly test this motor over a 12 month period before moving into production, where it saw everything our snotty British climate could throw at it. During this, we were able to pull together some extensive real world figures on the range when used as a PROPER BICYCLE.

Real World range on a Medium frame, 21kg (‘burly’) build, 87kg rider across mostly enduro style mixed terrain:

- Eco Mode: 35km+

- Mixed modes: 15km to 35km

- BOOST BOOST BOOST: Up to 15km

ADVANCE CARBON MANUFACTURING

Did a small bespoke steel bike brand just release a carbon Ebike? PHAH…. THE BLASPHEMY!

Yes, it’s true, we went so far right on this one we’re still trying to bring the rear end back in line… The SUPACAT brings a whole new edge to our brand, and allows us to offer an alternative to a market that we just would not be able to normally reach.

To ensure the frame could be kept as light as possible without compromising the integrity, the SUPACAT is manufactured using one-piece latex 3D mandrel and moulding out of T700 and T800 carbon by Light Carbon technologies in Xiamen, and is shared with a select number of other smaller brands.

The frame is then finished with Endruo Max bearings to ensure that smooth ride keeps silky between the sheets for the long term.
